Bangkok, 19 December 2025 – TrueBusiness moves forward in driving Thailand’s healthcare digital transformation, collaborating with SymptomTrace, a Taiwan-based health-tech startup focused on AI-driven chronic-disease management, to co-develop 5G Patient Digital Twin solution. A breakthrough that combines the intelligence of True 5G network and AI, disrupts the traditional hospital care for patients with chronic diseases. The solution highlights advanced contactless sensor technology for health vitals monitoring, enabling closer, faster, safer and more efficient care without disturbing the patients, health data from sensors are processed at the end point with Edge AI analytics and delivering data in real-time over the True 5G network to a central AI platform, where patient vital signs and movements are integrated and displayed on a single dashboard. The solution also enhances overall patient care management efficiency through a centralized platform, allowing clinical alerts to medical personnel immediately when abnormalities or emergencies are found. Under data privacy and advanced data security, 5G Patient Digital Twin enables the use of health information to tailor the continuous rehabilitation plan. This promotes personalized healthcare in Thailand. TrueBusiness plans to launch the 5G Patient Digital Twin solution in 2026, focusing on hospitals, patient care centers and healthcare institutions.

The innovative 5G Patient Digital Twin solution combines 5G connectivity, contactless sensors, and AI-driven analytics, shifting patient care and monitoring from reactive to proactive approaches. The solution provides highly secure, continuous, and private health tracking system, delivering tangible outcomes including higher patient safety, greater staff productivity, and cost efficiency for hospitals, patient care centers, and healthcare institutions.
Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer, True Corporation Plc., said “As a leader in communications services and end-to-end digital solutions for business customers, TrueBusiness integrates True 5G network, cloud, AI and contactless sensor technologies to develop the 5G Patient Digital Twin solution that enables hospitals and patient care centers to monitor and deliver personalized patient care and rehabilitation services with greater efficiency and safety.

Studies* related to the 5G Patient Digital Twin demonstrate evidence-based outcomes, such as a clear correlation between remote vital-sign monitoring and earlier detection of patient deterioration and, in several studies, reduced hospital readmissions within 30–60 days. Early risk detection has been shown to improve patient outcomes, reducing hospital admission rates by 9.6% and mortality by 3%. Moreover, automated remote vital-sign monitoring helps reduce time spent on routine monitoring and care coordination by approximately 45.9%, allowing nurses to spend more time on direct patient care.
“The collaboration with SymptomTrace reinforces our vision of being a partner in the digital and AI transformation journey for Thai organizations, helping elevate public health services in the new era through improved efficiency and value, to support better quality of life and sustainable well-being for the Thai people,” Dr. Teeradet added.

George Tai, CEO of SymptomTrace, said, “With the advanced infrastructure of TrueBusiness, enhanced with Intel’s AI technology, we can scale Digital Twin healthcare technology across Thailand, helping hospitals monitor chronic conditions safely and intelligently.”
Technologies Enabling the 5G Patient Digital Twin
The 5G Patient Digital Twin offers two key functions, which are vital sign monitoring and movement detection. The solution deploys advanced contactless sensors including Radio Detection and Ranging (Radar), to detect heart rate, breathing, and patient movement, while maintaining high privacy by capturing only patient outlines and movement patterns. This enables continuous 24-hour monitoring and proactive care without disturbing patients.

Patient vital signs and movements are captured through contactless sensors and processed by using Edge AI analytics at the end point. The data are transmitted in real time via the True 5G network and securely stored on a centralized platform with built-in data management capabilities. The system continuously analyzes the data through AI models deployed on True’s secure AI cloud, optimized AI infrastructure with Intel technologies, to enhance abnormality detection accuracy and generate clinically relevant alerts for medical personnel when risks or emergency conditions are identified. This helps reduce the workload of healthcare staff while improving the overall quality and efficiency of care delivery, particularly in environments managing large numbers of patients.
In addition, hospitals and patient care centers can leverage AI to analyze patient data and support continuous, personalized care planning under strict data privacy and advanced data security. This enables personalized healthcare services in practice, enhances the country’s competitiveness in medicine and public health services, and supports the national digital health strategy.
