February 24, 2026 – True Corporation coordinated with the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Royal Thai Police and the Anti-Online Scam Center (ACSC) to dismantle a call center scam network in Sa Kaeo Province, following abnormal usage patterns detected by True’s network monitoring system. The joint operation led to coordinated searches at three locations, the arrest of suspects, and the seizure of 12 SIM box devices, along with computers and related equipment. The action underscores proactive public-private collaboration to combat cybercrime and safeguard the Thai public.

The operation was initiated after a victim reported a scam via the ACSC hotline 1441. Officers from Sub-Division 2 of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) under the CIB began an investigation and expanded the case.

Concurrently, True’s network quality and security monitoring system detected irregular activity in parts of Sa Kaeo Province, including high volumes of outbound calls within short timeframes, repetitive calling patterns, and usage characteristics consistent with multi-SIM aggregation devices — indicators commonly associated with SIM box operations used to mask call origins.

True subsequently provided technical network intelligence to the CIB in accordance with applicable laws and strict personal data protection principles. The CIB led the investigation, while True supported with network analysis to help pinpoint the locations accurately.

Coordinated Field Operation Across Three Locations

Law enforcement officers utilized specialized signal detection and radio frequency scanning equipment, combined with joint data analysis with True, to verify target sites before obtaining court-approved search warrants. Authorities conducted raids at three locations:

  • Rental room in Khlong Hin Pun Subdistrict, Wang Nam Yen District – Eight SIM box devices were seized. Officers immediately cut off the SIM box signals prior to arrest to prevent further harm to potential victims.
Rental house in Phan Suek Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District – Additional equipment linked to the illegal operation was confiscated.
Commercial building in Watthana Nakhon Subdistrict, Watthana Nakhon District – Three more SIM boxes were discovered following suspects’ confessions.

True Reaffirms Commitment to Cyber Protection

True Corporation reiterated its commitment to serving as a proactive partner to law enforcement agencies by continuously monitoring, detecting, and reporting abnormal network activity, while strictly adhering to legal and transparency standards.

This operation marks another milestone in collaboration between True, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), and government agencies in tackling increasingly sophisticated technology-related crimes. It reflects True’s commitment to strengthening cyber safety nationwide while maintaining a balance between security enforcement and user rights protection.
