Aug 29, 2025 –True Corporation is closely monitoring the flood situation in Ban Pang Ung, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province, following heavy rainfall and landslides. The company has stepped up emergency response measures by deploying Cell-on-Wheels (COW) at critical locations and maintaining key base stations serving as community hubs in Pang Ung to ensure uninterrupted service. Network teams are installing emergency power generators to keep base stations operational for normal signal transmission and reception during power cuts caused by heavy rain. A dedicated 24-hour War Room has been established to monitor all provinces nationwide, with network teams mobilized and prepared for intensive monitoring. This comes after the Northern Meteorological Center’s warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of the North from August 30 to September 1, 2025, which may cause flash floods and runoff.
